To access an official copy of your score report: Log into https://www.goarmyed.com and click on the "My Education Record" Smart Link. A PDF copy of your score report will be uploaded to your eFile tab within 2-3 business days after testing.
The DLPT requires a lot of vocab “bottom up” to pass the lower levels; but for the higher levels, it requires “top down” recognition of contexts and “patterns of speech”. Students and linguists who have to translate every word do not do as well on the test as those who understand contextually.

Question: The new policy states that Soldiers get 10 points for 1/1 on DLPT but it's not clear to me if a Soldier has multiple languages, do they get additional points? Answer: No, Soldiers will not receive additional promotion points for multiple DLPT's. The maximum points earned for this is 10.

What are the scores on the DLPT?
DLPT5s are available either in a lower-range test that gives scores from 0+ to 3, or in an upper-range test that gives scores from 3 to 4. Some languages have only a lower-range test; some have only an upper-range test; and some have both.

What happens if you fail the DLPT?
Failing to maintain the required levels of proficiency may result in a reduction of foreign language proficiency pay at best, and failure to qualify for continued work in the linguist career field in a worst-case scenario.
