Is Rosetta Stone Outdated?
Rosetta Stone's interface (left) feels quite outdated compared to Duolingo (right). Overall, I was happy with the online Rosetta Stone program, but I do have a few bones to pick—after all, it's my job to be critical of products. First of all, given the high price of this program, I found its design to be outdated.
Rosetta Stone is under new ownership — again — as it announced its acquisition Wednesday by San Mateo, Calif. -based edtech company IXL Learning. Founded in 1992 and based in Arlington, Va., Rosetta Stone sells language learning software across 150 countries.
